Fifth Quarter is one of the funkiest improvisational bands in the DC metro area, known for dance-inducing, head-shaking jams.

The band plays original compositions and interpretive covers across a range of genres, including funk, blues, rock, Motown, reggae, alternative, new wave, post-punk and more.

Fifth Quarter is a a four person quartet featuring bass, drums, keyboards, guitar and shared vocals.  

The band maintains a simple philosophy when it comes to music.  Say yes to trying anything, and if it feels right, it can't be wrong!
